We are inviting families, students, community members, and staff to read and, if inclined, provide comments on the revised draft of the 2023-2024 annual update to the three-year 2021-2024 Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP). Both the District Advisory Committee (DAC) on March 17 and the District English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC) on March 18 provided input and feedback for the final draft of the document.
Review
The 2023-2024 LCAP Annual Update Revised Draft is available for public comment (en español) from May 25 through June 6, 2023. The superintendent is required to provide comments to any questions that are posed by members of DAC and DELAC. There is strong alignment between the LCAP and the district's vision.
While the district vision documents include overarching goals and actions for the district as a whole, the LCAP is a focused look at what we will provide over and above our core program to students who are from historically underserved populations, including our English/multilingual learners, foster youth, and youth experiencing homelessness, as well as students with disabilities. The LCAP itself is a lengthy document with three years of information. The annual update includes updates from 2022-2023 data/metrics and planned 2023-2024 updates to the actions section for each of the three goals. The Glossary of Terms is a helpful reference.
