Dear Don Callejon Community,

I have thoroughly and absolutely enjoyed my two years in Santa Clara
Unified and working at Don Callejon School.

Through perseverance, dedication, commitment and just downright hard
work, we have created an amazing school and an amazing community. Don
Callejon K-8 School is a wonderful place to be… as a student, a
teacher, a parent, a volunteer, a staff member, and as a leader.

The opportunity came up for me to apply for a Director of Curriculum
and Instruction in Campbell Union Elementary School District. On
Wednesday, the board in Campbell approved my move into this position.
Therefore I will be leaving Don Callejon School and Santa Clara, and
joining Campbell as their new Director of Curriculum and Instruction.

There will be an interim principal who will take my place. Ken
Cardona will stay on as the vice-principal. After the board meeting
on June 28th, the interim principal will be named.

It is with a heavy heart that I leave this school, community and
district. I will miss everyone.

Please stay in touch, and I will keep a close eye on the school's
progress. I know the future holds wonderful things…
