Callejon Extended Care for School-Age
Overview
Santa Clara Unified School District Family-Child Education Services provides before- and after-school child care for Kindergarten through 5th grade Don Callejon students.
Our classroom is located on Don Callejon campus in room B5.
Hours
Before school care starts at 7:00am and after school care begins immediately after school. Our teachers pick up and meet students’ right after school! We close at 6:00pm (children must be picked up by this time).
Days of operation
We are open all school days and teacher work days. We are also open during Spring Break and Winter Break. Please see our Extended Day calendar for more information.
Summer Camp Program
Priority is given to currently enrolled Extended Day families entering 1st through 5th grade.
Hours: 7:00am-6:00pm
Includes fantastic educational fieldtrips!
Enrollment Procedures
Enrollment application forms are available in room B5. If there are spaces available, application for enrollment is made by completing an enrollment packet, which can be obtained by the Site Director. If the program is full, the parent can request to be put on the waiting list.
You may also print out a wait list form online and bring it to room B5 or drop it off at the main school office during school hours.
Enrollment is on a first come, first serve basis and is not guaranteed, nor considered complete until all required forms are completed, returned and reviewed along with the non-refundable registration fee of $75.00 for one child or $100 per family.
Snacks
We provide a healthy snack for your child after school every day.

Kitchenette in the classroom for fun, educational cooking projects and snacks.
Kindergarten: Extended Day teacher picks up children from class
1st-5th grade: Child’s teacher drops off child at designated location

Preschool at Montague Elementary School
(formerly at Don Callejon)
Overview
Santa Clara Unified School District Family-Child Education Services provides half-day and full-day preschool programs on the Montague Elementary School campus.
Half-Day Preschool
Three-year-old class (8:30am-12:00pm T/Th, MWF, or M-F, Rm 26) Enrollment is year-round. Children need to be 2.9 years by September 2nd and FULLY potty trained. (We are not licensed for diapers or pull-ups.)"
Four-year-old class (8:30am-12:00pm T/Th, MWF, or M-F, Rm 27) Enrollment is year-round."
Full-Day Preschool (7:30am-6:00pm- Monday through Friday) Enrollment for our full day preschool program is year-round. If you are on our waiting list, you will receive a phone call as soon as space becomes available in the classroom.
